Data Deletion Instructions

This page explains how to have your data removed from BuilderDesk, operated by Saiban Technologies.

Deleting your personal account

Email support@saibanbuilders.com from the address registered on your account, with the subject Delete my account.

We will:

• Confirm we have received your request within 7 days
• Verify that the request genuinely comes from you
• Delete your personal details — your name, email address, phone number, password hash, profile picture and any linked Google or Facebook connection — within 30 days
• Confirm in writing once it is done

What is kept, and why

If you entered financial records into a company workspace, those records stay with the company, not with you. Your name is retained against them in the audit trail, because a record of who entered a payment is what makes the accounts auditable — and because the company, not you, is the controller of its own books and may have a statutory duty to keep them.

In practice this means your login is removed and you can no longer access the Service, while the company's accounting history stays intact. If you want your name removed from those records as well, that request has to go to the workspace Owner, who decides it.

Disconnecting Facebook or Google without deleting your account

If you only want to unlink a social account, email us at support@saibanbuilders.com and we will remove the connection, provided you have another way to sign in — a password or a verified phone number. We store only the provider's account identifier, your name, your email address and your profile picture URL.

You can also remove the app's access from your Facebook settings, under Settings & privacy → Settings → Apps and Websites, or from your Google account under Security → Third-party apps with account access.

Deleting an entire company workspace

Only the workspace Owner can do this. Email support@saibanbuilders.com from the Owner's registered address with the subject Delete workspace and the company name.

The workspace is first marked for deletion and stops being accessible. After a 30-day grace period — during which the Owner can ask us to restore it, because deleting a company's entire accounting history by mistake is not a recoverable error — everything is permanently removed: projects, cash records, expenses, labour records, supplier ledgers, uploaded receipts and the audit log.

Deleted data may remain in encrypted backups for up to a further 30 days before those backups are rotated out. It is not accessible through the Service during that time.

We strongly recommend exporting your reports to PDF or Excel before requesting this.

Tracking your request

Reply to our acknowledgement email at any time to ask where your request has got to. If we cannot delete something you have asked us to delete, we will tell you which item and why.
