Terms of Service
Last updated: 24 September 2026
These terms govern your use of BuilderDesk ("the Service"), operated by Saiban Technologies. By creating an account you agree to them.
What the Service is
The Service is software for recording and reporting on construction project finances: cash received, expenses, labour attendance and wages, supplier purchases and payments, and the reports built from them.
It is a record-keeping tool. It is not an accountant, an auditor or a tax adviser, and nothing it produces is professional financial advice. You remain responsible for the accuracy of what you enter and for meeting your own statutory and tax obligations.
Accounts and workspaces
- You must give accurate details when you create an account, and keep them up to date.
- You are responsible for keeping your password and your phone secure, and for everything done through your account.
- Each company gets its own workspace. The person who creates it becomes its Owner.
- The Owner controls who is invited, what role each member holds, and who is removed.
- You must not share one login between several people. Invite them instead — the audit trail is worthless if two people share an account.
Your data belongs to you
The records your company enters remain your company's. We claim no ownership of them. We access them only as needed to operate the Service, to fix a fault you have reported, or where we are legally required to.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Attempt to access another company's workspace or records
- Probe, scan or test the security of the Service without our written permission
- Upload malicious files, or use the Service to store material unrelated to your business records
- Use the Service to break any applicable law
- Resell or sublicense access to the Service without our agreement
How financial records behave
You should understand this before relying on the Service:
- Financial records are never deleted. A mistake is corrected by voiding the entry, with a reason, and entering a new one. Both remain visible.
- Once a record is approved it is locked, and can only be changed by voiding it.
- Every change records who made it, when, and from which IP address.
These are deliberate constraints. They exist so that the figures can be trusted later, and they are not faults.
Availability
We aim to keep the Service available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may need to take it offline for maintenance, upgrades or repairs. We take regular backups, but you should keep your own copies of anything critical by exporting your records.
Ending your use
- You may stop using the Service at any time. An Owner may delete their workspace — see Data Deletion.
- We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, or that is used to harm the Service or other users. Where we can, we will tell you first.
Liability
The Service is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, Saiban Technologies is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost profits, or for loss arising from figures you entered incorrectly or from decisions you took on the basis of them.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Changes
We may update these terms. If a change is material we will notify workspace Owners by email and update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, and the courts of Pakistan have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
